Arrow What's better?

Forged DV's

or

BOV

I've got a JB3, DCI, and exhaust and running on map 3 most of the time, but i have gone up to map 6 a few times. But now it sounds like i already have a BOV with the stock valves i have. There's no CEL or anything on. Car seems a lil weaker too just a lil though. Should i just keep the stock ones, or switch over to DV's or BOV. I used to have a friends BOV in my car for about a month, i didn't mind the sound at all, but it didnt pull as hard imo. Thanks guys

Its a matter of taste , i personally think keeping the OEM setup is best, so Forge Dvs.

If you have AT go for the Forge Dvs. The BOV can be taken into consideration if you like the sound with an MT.

Civics aren't the only cars with bov's. I love my bov and wouldn't remove it for the world. OP if you have a MT go ahead and get one, you won't be dissapointed.

I have AT but I had my friends HKS bov installed on my car while his was at the stealership. I like the sound of it. But do i gain or lose anything by going back that route?

an aftermarket bov is NOT going to make you loose power LMAO at people who say otherwise. if anything, if running a higher map/boost level, the stock valves (could) be leaking and loosing boost. not sure at what boost level the stock valves are good to though. hks ss with pipe going on my car today and im stoked to hear the sound of it. HKS bov sounds better than any IMO

For peace of mind in terms of leaks with higher than stock boost I went for the Forge DV's.

If anyone wants to say BOV's are for civics and add no performance value, need to send me a PM because I won't talk shit to you on this board in general public. If you STILL believe this stupid story your spreading about BOV's being useless, then maybe you should try and put meth into your upgrade path and tell me what you think then. I bet recirculating Meth back through your turbos and FMIC is a great thing.

I dont get why BOV = Civic. Virtually any high HP turbo/sc car will run a BOV. Like my twin turbo Corvette, or my single turbo Audi, etc etc.

I would have to believe that a well made BOV would be better and more efficient than two DV's. I still don't understand why this car has two DV's when one would have sufficed.
Now that I think about it, I'm guessing they went this route so both sides of the air intake would recieve equal discharge air to both turbo intakes.

we own bmw 3 series, nothing exotic, nothing dramatic. give me a break w/the whole BOV makes your car rice.

you know what is rice - under-carriage street glow lights, and shitty body kits are rice.

if you guys are so uppity about our GREAT BMWs, why the heck would you put REPLICA wheels on your car?

explain that? the wheels/tires are the most crucial part of the car - second to your BRAKES.

why put replicas on a BMW? i think that is rice or just bad taste.

to the OP:

unless a BOV decreases performance, to me it is a SOUND only mod, thus deeming it a waste of money. Forged DV are supposedly good, but work with tuned cars, not stock tuning.
