Abandoned AW 335 Coupe in NYC

Guys,

New here, but outside my apartment, for the past three weeks there has been an AW 335i Coupe with its sunroof cracked open sitting on 96th and 2nd avenue in a no parking zone. It maybe has about 20+ tickets now.

Pictures are attached with the license plate - CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATE: 6H0J642.

It looks like it has different BMW wheels and tinted windows.

Please help ID this so NYPD can impound the car or contact the owner so it doesn't incur any damage.

One would THINK a decent cop would have run the plates and contacted the owner already . . . if it wasn't on the hot sheet. One would think.

It was either that or charge the E92 19 extra tickets. I think the choice was clear.

Maybe a setup car? You know like the ones you see on T.V. Drive off, car shuts off, and you get busted.

Yeah, but the bait cars usually have the windows down so it looks too tempting to pass up.

OP, what did the license plate frame say? Dealer frame?

Probably drove up there for the yankee game....they say in brooklyn they dont play.

maybe he did that to make people think its not a bait car... and those tickets are probably fake... so someone is like "this is not a bait car, I'm gonna steal it"
