WTF is "la tache romanee" and why is one of it worth $5000? Some kind of wine I'm guessing? Jesus sometimes I really am glad I don't drink.

Haha what are those other $15000 and $10000 things? Didn't know Cristal is 5000 a bottle.

Water is usually $8 and up at nice restaurants. But sometimes they throw it in for free when the meal is expensive.

It was an automatic gratuity of $7300, but they left another $5000, total of $12,300.

Damn, and people complain about Starbuck's prices for coffee! 3 cappuccinos cost $27?

But wow, $35,000 for wine? Also, it is kind of bullshit to add a 20% gratuity on such expensive bottles of wine in my opinion. But I'll likely never be in a position to complain about it.....

Assuming Roman Abramovich's net worth is 14 billion and the meal is 52K. That is about 0.00000371428% of his net worth in 1 meal. Average American middle class's net worth is about $750K, so an equivalent percentage meal for an average American middle class would've been...

$2.76...or...2 99 cent burgers and a free cup of ice water.

And that extra $5000 that he gave as tip to the waitress, is equivalent to...

a quarter...

kind of put things in perspective doesn't it?

I think your average middle class net worth is too high. It is probably under $500,000, and most of it not liquid...

That just makes your calculations even more depressing......

well net worth is not really meant to be a liquid asset calculation. Billionaires have alot of their net worth stacked under equity that they own and cannot cash out anytime they want because then they would no longer own controlling interest of the company. Not to mention properties, yachets and shit.

I think $750K is pretty good estimate (maybe because I live in California) but 750K would just be a 500K primary residence, 50K in vacation timeshare or property. 100K in vehicles. 150K in savings, 401K and market.
