Movie: Objectified
Anyone else know about this film? Looks pretty cool and hopefully will have some great insight into the design of our cars... maybe shed a different light.

Looks good - a spring 2009 release date though was mentioned. Wonder if anyone's seen the whole thing.
There is a decent book on design, by Del Coates, titled, "Watches Tell More Than Time". Saw a couple available on abebooks, but they're a bit expensive. Another book on automotive design I've been trying to run down for a number of years, "A Century of Automotive Style", is finally available as an e-book. It's available through the following: http://lammmorada.com/product/a-cent...omotive-style/ From a purely BMW perspective, there is a decent book centered around the E85 Z4, but it does a good job of laying a foundation for BMW's design philosophy. The book is, "BMW Z4: Design, Development, and Production", by David Lightfoot. Here's another deign source that popped up, there's an 89 page PDF that BMW did titled, "The Secret Life of Cars". Available here: http://www.dezeen.com/2007/07/22/the...f-cars-by-bmw/ Now off in search of the completed "Objectified". |
