SLK55 AMG or E93 335i (help)

Hi

I can buy now new slk55 amg black/classic red (designo) :rocks: with all options or wait for e93 335i.I dont know what to do !!!!!!!! buy slk55 or wait for e93 335
and is it a good time to buy slk55 and keep it for 4 years.

Well considering I am picking up my 335I tomorrow. I would take the AMG if price wasnt relevant.... and I dont even like Benz...

All options on the MB? I'm not too thrilled on the SLK style, but whatever floats your boat. Fully loaded on the SLK is roughly 80K. Shit, if you're getting a good deal on it, buy it! Then sell it for the difference in market value.

I have an SLK55, and it is a great car. If the dollars are not an object, go with the SLK. It is very very fast, and with the AMG package, has huge brakes. Also the hard top is great. Big advantage. If there was one thing I do not like about the car, is the matirial they made the plastic on the inside with. It is mushy, and gets white marks on it. I came from a C5 Z06, and for 90% for the performance, got alot more comfort and a retractable top. I would not take one without the AMG performance option though.

However, if you want an amazing and very fast car, go with the AMG all the way.

.. For that money do yourself a favor and pickup a Z06 Corvette. OK how about a Porsche Boxster S with the new updated HP, Cayman S, Audi RS4, thatsin the ball park right. In all respect to you sir the MB is just not worth it. It looks nice, buuuut, come on for 80K you seriously got choices. Even If I had the money, or had new lotto money that car wouldnt even make it in my top 30. For 80K you can get a 2006 Porsche S CPO. Ohhh so to answer you question. Id wait for the BMW...

If you can afford the SLK55 then you can afford an E93 M3. If you are waiting then you might as well hold out for that.

How soon do want the car?
If you want it right away, then go with the SLK55 AMG, if you can wait for another 6 months or so till the E93 335i is out, then I will suggest you wait till then, and take both of them for spin possibly on the same day before making up your mind.

There's a lot of wierd comparisons on this forum. I guess the 335 is really that good to be compared with all of these high end cars.

, but I don't know why when I see the AMG version on the street here is S.Florida is allways some rich old lady driving it at 45mph in a 70mph zone

however if I had the money I will probably go with a Porsche 911

I'd take the slk if it came in a manual. I sat in one and it was so comfortable and everything is very nicely laid out.

The SLK55 AMG is hands down the most gorgeous car you can buy under $100K (I think).

Makes the Z4 look like an ugly black duck.

I heard theres many problems with them though, I've seen many lemon SLK's for sale on ebay.

I'd get an SLK over the E93 anyday of the week.

Reliability-wise the SLK55 is quite good. Don't see much complaints from owners on MB World.

If money is not an issue, take the 55. However, beware, it's nose heavy for sure. No more 50:50 weight distribution.

What designo color is that? I have a mocha black E55.
