Question Questions regarding OBC languages?

I notice that the stock OBC can select different languages (Japanese, French, German, Spainish, UK English, US English...etc). I have couple questions:

If I have burn my mp3 in Japanese title/sub-title, does that mean I will be able to display the song name. title in Japanese?

Are there anyway to do some software "flash" to add more languages like Chinese?

Thanks

For those of you in HK, did the CD/MP3 player show the song name in Chinese?

Question

I kind of expect no response from many people, but what about people in Hong Kong or China?

Only way to check the name display is to burn a CD and check what it does

Never seen a "flash" to change languages of OBC

Chinese market gets a market specific OBC that im shure displays chinese

Yes, setting the language to Japanese will display some Asian characters for MP3s. I've seen it work before.

Thanks, I haven't try to set it to Japanese because I am afraid that I don't know how to switch back to English as I am no Japanese

I just thought that we can buy some kind of CD from the asian market (HK, China) and "flash" it to the system to have one more language support so that my burn Chinese MP3 will be able to display all the info on the little screen like my iPod does.

The interface language doesn't change to Japanese after you change it. It remains as English.

Nothing change to Japanese. I was wondering why there is a Japanese language option until one day someone put in a MP3 CD with Asian character file names.

The interface does not change to Japanese. But the character set that it uses to read the MP3 file names is different and will read Asian characters.

When I try my chinese mp3, they all showing up in Japanese characters, not a single Chinese characters. So, what type of fonts do you use for your mp3, Big5, GB, unicode, etc?

Try Unicode. I am 100% sure mine works unless your unit has different specs.
