Lowered Suspension

I recently had my 335Dse lowered with an Eibach kit. My problem is that the front is a touch too low for my liking. I would like to raise it by about 10-15mm. The online parts book shows a spacer that can be fitted in areas with rough roads. The part numbers are 31336754760 which I think is discontinued or replaced, the other number is 31306779671. What I need to know is the thickness of these spacers which fit between the strut and the body, any help would be appreciated

Sounds like you wanted the M Sport set up which is about 15mm lower than 'stock' height.

Your comments are a bit unusual as those of us with M Sport ride height want it lower cos it looks too high !!

Cheers

You should see if anyone wants to swap their M Sport setup for your Eibach.. Then you'll get the height you want.

The problem with that is the SE struts will be underdamped for the M Sport springs, even worse with the Eibachs......

Won't the front / rear balance look a bit odd if you raise the front?

See what you mean, that is low.

The rough road package is a 20mm shim that sits on top of the strut between the strut and the strut tower. It effectively raises the ride height by 20mm without comprising the spring/damper performance. I have the shims installed on my car even though I have adjustable coilovers (the Bilsteins were too low for what I wanted, even on their maximum height setting)

The part number you need is - 31306779671

Bloody good idea except the seats are black and I would rather spend the money on the car

It is the "Pro Kit" but I remember the guy saying the drop is more at the front than the rear, I forget the exact figures. Seems a bit stupid to me but hey who am I to argue

Ive never seen a Pro-kit lower a car that much, most installations only achieve a subtle drop, nothing like what yours looks like in the pictures.

Sure the springs arent red ?

Nope they are yellow, a subtle drop was what I was after. I asked the supplier for the least amount of drop possible

There is something not right there. Eibach pro's drop the front end so that the gap between the tyre and the wheel arch is consistent around the circumference of the tyre - yours is more like the Eibach sportline or H&R race, particularly at the front.

I checked the box this morning and it is definately "Pro" on the box

Just checked out Eibach's web site and the Pro kit drops the front by 40mm and the rear by 25mm. So if I use the 20mm spacers this should level it up again. I may even get my local machine shop to shave off 5mm but perhaps this would not be worth the hassle. Wish I had never bothered now, too much conflicting advice about what springs I have, but it definately states "Pro Kit" on the box
