By double flash, I assume you mean the tail lights and blinkers? I don't recall seeing that option when I went through the manual.

You can set up that feature without I-Drive. You need to get into your settings from the turn signal stalk, and you'll be able to activate it in there. Unless you have the alarm, you won't be able to have the clown nose flash or get the chirp though.

There are multiple features on page 21...double confirmation for lock and unlock doesn't seem to be one of them. Maybe it's not on the newer cars?

my '06 has that option. it's in the BC settings somewhere via the turn signal stalk (I was able to turn this on in my car). It makes the turn signals blink once when you lock the car, and twice when you unlock it.
Note that many options in the BC settings are only available when the engine is turned off. |

He's asking for it to blink twice on either (lock or unlock), rather than 1 for lock and 2 for unlock.

Here you go per Owners Manual. I can't paste the pictures, so when it refers to button 1, it is the vertical toggle on the turn signal. Button 2 is the horizontal button on the end of the turn signal.
Setting confirmation signals You can program the vehicle to confirm when it has been locked or unlocked. 1. Lightly push button 1 in the turn indicator stalk up or down repeatedly until the symbol appears in the display accompanied by the word "SET". 2. Press button 2. 3. Lightly push button 1 in the turn indicator stalk down repeatedly until the desired symbol appears in the display. > Confirmation signal during unlocking > Confirmation signal during locking 4. Press button 2. 5. Use button 1 to select: > The hazard warning flashers light up during unlocking/locking. > An acoustic signal sounds during unlocking/locking. Alarm only > The hazard warning flashers light up and an acoustic signal sounds during unlocking/locking.Alarm only > The function is deactivated. 6. Press button 2. The setting is stored. What would be the difference besides one additional flash?

No idea..but that's what he wants.
What you posted above is exactly what I saw in my manual, too. Already took pictures out of manual once tonight...didn't feel like doing it again. :P
