lol no one gonna sell a car to break even if they are a dealer. they gotta make money. just kbb Trade in value it excellent and you got your price =]

I found a small independent dealer that buys all of his cars from auctions when I was shopping for my 3 series. He was willing to pull up the auction histories and agreed on a set price over the bid amount. He generally bought 12-15 cars a week and half were already sold through that mode. You may want to try the same. Generally I would say auction price was right around KBB wholesale. Some are lower some slightly higher.
