Decent Mid Range Non RF tyres?

Been looking at:

Continental Sport Contact 2
Goodyear Eagle NCT5

As a temporary measure to replace two rear Conti RF tyres to tide me over until spring when I will be upgrading from 16" to 19" alloys. Got 2 RF Contis on the front at the moment and they have a long life on them.

Last time I bought "mid range" tyres they were Avon ones and were noisy as hell.

Anyone got any recommendations? Really want to get these done at the weekend so as much as it pains me i'm looking at National or Quik Fit to get them done so may be limited on choice?

Falken FK-452. Almost (95%) as good as the Eagle F1 Assymetrics but for less than half the price.

Check out camskill.co.uk for the best prices

A HELL of alot of people love the 452 mate. I run them personally so I'm not just chatting shit that I've heard elsewhere either.

Hope that helps

So this is what I would be after:

http://camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b0s291p6196

loads cheaper than I was planning!

Anyone know how much places charge to fit pre bought tyres? Anyone ever had them delivered to the fitting place rather than their house?

robbo,

visit www.event-tyres.co.uk, then give them a call. Camskill may be tuppence cheaper but you have to piss about getting them fitted.

Event come to you, fit & balance for free at your home / work.

bit late tonight for the weekend though.

worth a go.

I bought a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas from Camskill.

Had them delivered to my work address and fitted by a local independant.

Fitting was £72, including valve and balancing etc.

Kumho KU-31's are my favourite at the moment, was amazed at how good they are and will definitely be buying them next when the PS2's run out.

Personaly I have gone right off the Falkens, had 5 sets now, but the last time I went from PS2's to the Falkens, everytime before that it had been from run flats to Falkens, and it really showed them up quite a bit I'm afraid.
Even my wife asked if I had put run flats back on the car.

I am hearing they are terrible, the M3 is now coming with them and people are saying they are bordering on dangerous.

Mate just got his brand new white DCT E90 with over £10k's worth of options and was promised PS2's, arrived with Conti 3's and he refused the car.
An hour later it was wearing PS2's.

I had Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics on the Leon, thought they were good, slightly quieter, awesome grip and progressive loss of traction, thinking I'll probably put them on the kitten when the RFT are bald
