aight dude, what I'm about to say might get some people offended but I got love for all my fellow E90'ers.
I would start with mechanical mods before aesthetics. Take a look at Dinan and their signature packages. You'll get a lot out of it. ( they have warranty and since you have BMW warranty it covers the Dinan waranty and you can do the work at dealerships like Crevier. When I bought my car It had chrome stock wheels on it and I have not changed them untill I take my car to Dinan in 6 months or so. But anyways, Congrats on your car, welcome to the forum and happy moding... |

Dinan packages.... over priced
Had JB3 on the second day after buying a my brand new E93. However didn't push the car until 3,000KM and oil change to break the engine in. Performance the value for the $ vs HP in Order 1. JB3 or Procede with DCI 2. Catless Down Pipes 3. METH Kit 4. FMIC 5. Exhaust Cosmetic MODs since it is a personal taste so each to his own. But common one you have to start with: 1. New shoes 2. Lowering 3. Reflectors delete

I totally understand your point but look what it includes: "Included Items Stage 3 Performance Engine Software with High-Boost Upgrade (No piggyback); Performance Intercooler(98% larger than the stock counterpart); High Capacity Oil Cooler (for cars equipped with the factory oil cooler); Free Flow Exhaust; Stage 3 Suspension System (Performance Springs, Koni Struts and Shocks, 26.5mm Front Antiroll Bar, 15.8mm Rear Antiroll Bar; front camber plates); Dinan Pedal Pads; Dinan Deck Lid Badge; Serial Numbered Dinan-S2 Plaque" (DINAN Performance) Plus I think the R&D that they put in their products is matched by neither Vishnu tuning(PROCEDE) and JB3 and Active auto works. Research and Developement is the key to an engineering product... but I still get your point |

And the price tag 2-3 times more than purchasing same components you've listed from Vendor Sponsor's on this Forum...? R&D I can't debate since I never researched how many hours Dinan puts into it vs Terry of BMS or Vishnu. There is a Giac tune option for folks that are not fans of piggyback, which I'm a big fan for the flexibility it currently provides and future integration developments.

Congrats on the car and welcome to the forums. There is no "right" place to start. For many, they want to get rid of all the little cosmetic issues like reflectors and matte black grills. For others, they want an easy performance boost like the JB3. Drive the car a bit and figure out which bothers you the most.

I might get flamed, but all the carbon fibre stuff is crap! Especially, the CF Roundels, leave them alone. It just looks like you're trying to be Boy Racer!
I'm all for people personalising their cars, but when I see CF hanging off their car, it just makes me shudder. Now, if you want to put in a REAL CF dashboard, or REAL CF seats or REAL CF body panels, that's fine, but just putting a CF badges and grill looks really, really cheesy. That being said, if I was really wanting to mod my car: 1. JB3 or JB+ 2. M3 suspension parts/KW coilovers 3. AE exhaust 4. Cool carbon brake pads Just my .02
