Question Help-speedometer

I am new to BMW ownership, just purchased an 06 325i about 2 weeks ago. The last couple of days, I've experienced intermittent problems with my gauges. Every once in a while, the speedometer and tachometer needles stay still at zero, while the mpg needle quivers around 50. This only happens for about 30 seconds after I start the car and begin driving. Then everything comes back to life. Anyone ever experience this or know what the issue is? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I don't think it's normal for the tachometer and speedometer to stay at zero after the car is started and he starts driving.

Sounds like it could be a dirty or loose sensor. Agreed with the above though, especially since you just bought it. Head back to the dealer and see if they can help out.

Thanks.

I called the dealer and explained the situation. They said that they would take care of it. BMW is going to install the bluetooth module when it is in stock (worked into the purchase deal), so they will look at the speedo issue as well.

Will let you guys know what they find or do not find.
