BMW 6 Series Front Suspension?
While discussing the pointless X series M cars with a friend and the valid merit of having a front double wishbone suspension, I had noticed that while perusing the BMW website that the 6 series is also stated as having a double wishbone suspension as indicated here:
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...ghtweight.html. AFAIK and according to other internet sources, All the BMW's besides the new X5 and 7 series in the current lineup employ Macpherson strut front suspensions. Am I correct in assuming this?

I went through the catalogues of all BMW series and only the 1 Series, 7 Series, and X5, and X6 are clearly stated as having the double wishbone front suspension. The 6 Series is described as having the double-joint spring strut front axle as do the 3 Series, 5 Series, and the X3. The Z4 and the M cars have the M suspension crap.
The link you post does mention the double wishbone front suspension for the 6 Series but I think it is an error. I'm curious to see the specs of the new F10 5 Series and the 5 GT. |
