Recent E90 Accident

Minor minor accident.. Just hit a metal pole going at least ~40(?) on a turn, several parts flew off on impact. I didn't feel a thing; however, the damage seems pretty extensive: body damage, headlight broken, tire slashed, possible transmission and suspension problems.

My car is tilted...to the side opposite of impact. I'm guessing it will be around $4k worth of repairs, god willing the transmission or suspension aren't screwed up, and about 4-5 weeks of work, minimum.

EDIT: Suspension is obviously screwed up, at least 10k in damages.

I can't drive it well because the tire is lodged next to the fender, if you will, and on top of that I think I have a gas leak based on the indicator I saw on my ins-panel and the fumes I saw pillowing out of the car.

Maybe now I can finally get those angel eyes I have been wanting.

I'll update this thread regularly in hopes of helping someone who may encounter similar problems or if anyone else is interested.

Suspension damage for sure. I don't see any reason for transmission damage unless you have xDrive. Looks like the tire look the brunt of the hit so most of the other stuff is just cosmetic. Did airbags go off?

My damage was VERY similar to yours & cost $16K to be repaired.

BMW requires components be replaced due to location of damage whether the part shows signs of damage or not. My steering rack had to be replaced @ a cost of $3700 because of a tie rod that had been broken.

BMW specs = $$$

My damage looked to be more than yours, but is similar as well. Total cost was near $20K....

I think 4k would be for a single panel damaged and needing paint and blending and not much else. I think you are looking at 12-15k , perhaps more. I just got my car back after a 13k repair. I suggest a BMW Collision Center if you want it fixed right.

Definitely way more than 4k, the tire is pushed back so it's got suspension problems. 15k sounds reasonable to me... Let us now what they tell you!

Ouch! I agree with these guys when they say it'll be a 10K repair job. Maybe it's time to upgrade that 2 in your badge to a 3.

Curious on this as well. Much more than 4k damage. Hood, fender, bumper, headlights, and possible suspension bits.
