JB+
Hi guys I was reading some posts about the JB3 vs JB+ I know with the JB3 I get more power more options.... but I like the idea of easy install of the JB+ and I think 4.75 Psi should b good. Here is my question I know that JB3 throws off codes...so on. And on their site it says the JB+ doesnt throw off any codes and very safe.... ppl with these systems could you give me some info on these. How much power can I expect from both hp wise. And one more question if i remove the JB+ for a service or something should I reset the ECU? or anything like that cuz i heard ppl with turbo tuner have had problems such as backfire or so on? any info on these would be great guys I have done the couldnt find nothing.
Thank you -Minas

When running the JB+ maxed out I think you would be much happier with the JB3. As it will give you smoother and more power. Also above default you REALLY need to have a BT tool with the JB+

The JB+ can throw a T-Map code if unplugged. If I were you, I would go to JB3 because you have more flexiability. JB+ might seem good now, but you will always want more in the future. Plus, updates are FREE!

It seems like almost everyone that gets the JB+ eventually steps up to the JB3... which you can do with their trade-up program if you didn't know.
If you decide to not go with the JB3 in the beginning, at least you know you didn't waste your money on the JB+ if you decide go this route. |

JB+ at 100% will probably throw codes. JB+ at 50% is pretty safe.
JB3 has much more power but it'll require you to open the cowl. If you want to stick to being mostly stock, I'd go with JB+ as it takes only minutes to install. But if you want to tune above 50% on the JB+ I'd just go with a JB3. Just got my JB3 last weekend and still loving it. Feels like a monster lives under my hood. From what I hear, with JB3 at map3, you won't throw codes. I somehow did throw a code my first night on map3, but I was switching between trying map3 and map5, so may have been due to me. I have 1.3 so 1.4 may be a little more stable than mine too. BTW, how could you NOT find any threads about JB3 vs JB+. I see a different thread regarding something like this near weekly. |
