today was the 1st day of my economics class, I walk intro the room like 10 mins late,because I could not find the room :mad: and I suddenly make eye contact with a girl on the back of the room she smile and I smile back.
so I seat on the front ( was were the only seats were available ) and several times I turn around and again we make eye contact it happens like 4-5 times so at the end of the class I was going to talk to her but the professor told me "I have to talk to you after class" I was like FUCK ! :mad:

so after talking with the professor, I got out but she had left my next class is on tuesday I'm planing to seat next to her can somebody help me on how I can start a converstion and show her some interest. I don't want to jump right away because I don't want to scare her away, and I don't want to use cheesy pick up lines or anything like that ( I don't think they work) , how I can introduce my self to her in a good way? and give her a good impression

Tell her that her good looks, outweigh the "Opportunity Cost" of walking to the back of the class and finding a seat to sit next to her. Or, if you're feeling really obnoxious, you could slip her "The Invisible Hand Theory." If you're having a hard time understanding my suggestions, then I suggest you show up to class on time going forward.

lol this has to be one of the best answers ever.

so for what I understand 1st I should show up to class on time so I have the "opportnity" of sitting next to her, or I can be late again and I will have to choose seating in the front row and I will miss the oportunity to get to know her

but just like the "invisible hand" I should not plan what I'm going to do or say, I should just use my intuition.

Here's the deal:

It doesn't matter what you talk about, this will all be won or lost in your confidence and attitude. So you sit by her & ask some questions about class.. Then you introduce yourself. Make sure you look her in the eyes & shake her hand.. Then you chit chat a little when you can during the lecture if it is a big class, blah, blah, blah...

At the end of the class you ask her if she wants to meet at Starbucks or something to go over homework... If you don't ask her this time, you have like 1 more chance, or she is going to sense fear. Once you have the Starbucks type meeting, if all goes well, you have to ask her on a date. You have to say something like, "well I'd like to get to know you better, why don't I take you to dinner?" Once again, if you don't do it at this meeting, you only have like 1 more chance. You can't leave her wondering if it is a date either, so no deal like, "oh you and your friends usually go to MacDintons Pub, maybe I could meet up"..

Men and women are "wired" to be turned on and off by certain things.. Us guys are more visual.. Women want a guy who is confident, this goes back to the whole caveman thing..

If you don't let her know you are "interested", you will end up in the "friend zone", and once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny...

man why are you tripping... i mean being a freshmen in college... i should be pretty scared n' stuff right? ehh not really. i find it easy to mess around and make yourself look like a dumbass, a smartass, or any other type of ass (in & out of class) and not give a damn cause its not like anybodys gonna remember your ass anyways. haha.

so i guess to summarize in terms of ur situation... just start talking! who cares... if you wanna get to know her... do the obvious BS questions of college... whats your name, your major, where your livin?(depends on the college i suppose cause some colleges dont have dorms), talk bout the class n' stuff... n' then after that bs class you get her # by leading the conversation into some "study buddy" bull... yada. flow... who cares. just say something and dont be like =O n' choke. haha goodluck.

I didn't know guys even thought about stuff like this....weird.
I remember in high school there was a guy a liked. We both had Integras so that's sort of how we met but then he never really attempted to talk to me at all and he started driving some girl home from school so I figured whatever.
Then during lunch a few times I remember him talking to some girl and they kept looking at me and I didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing but I ignored it and I find out now three years later that he had the biggest crush on me and everyone knew but no one told me. Guys are so dumb!

wow everybody thanks for the advise, and nikki that's true back in highschool I had the bigest crush and I was really dump and I never said anything she find out by friends stupid desition, that's why is not going to happen again
