Check Engine Light on 335

My 335 sedan has thrown the check engine light on the last 3 cold start ups. It has only 440 miles right now and the light will clear if I turn the engine off and restart. It only seems to happen on cold starts and is somtimes accompanied by a slight stumble which then clears out.
Has anyone else experienced this? I have check the gas cap and it is tight.

hmm... I'd rather be safe then sorry and take it to the dealer. My 330i's got about 10k miles on it, and (knock on wood) no issues thus far.

That exact same thing happened to me in Fussen on my ED. Started the car cold, and while we were sitting there idling a bit roughly, the yellow check engine light popped on. I looked in the manual, turned the car off, started up again, and no problem, light gone. It never did it again. And the car ran perfectly. Might be some condensation or other fuel delivery sensitivity that sets it off.

I remember reading something about a few US 335i giving incorrect check engine lights ( ill have to look it up again ). The fault is fixed by a software update.

Let the dealer check and see if it is that or something else

Thanks. I'll try a few more cold starts and see if its still happening. I really hate taking a new car into the dealer.

I had a check engine light and they had to replace a bad sensor in the radiator which has 3 so they replaced the entire radiator.
