is it possible to code new injectors with BT tool?

My BMW stealer has recently replaced all 6 injectors and 6 coils + plugs

Now I have low idle at hot engine, some misfires at idle and engine is running rough
Unfortunately no misfire code in DME.
The dealer says all ok
The values for the 6 new injectors where correctly coded by the dealer, I checked it in the dealer PC and the DME adaptations where cleared,

I am sure one of the new injectors is defective or away from tolerance so that one cylinder is too lean or too rich, the engine don't run smooth.

So now that I was abandoned by my stealer, I want to buy one injector and swap it one cylinder by another until misfires are gone. but for this I need to code the injector values. Is this possible with BT tool or another one? Procede V4?

Aren't injectors around $500 a piece? I would video the car when it is running it roughest, and show that to the dealership.

The probably forgot to calibrate them which is something that must be done whenever you swap them out.

Go back to the dealership and tell them to complete their work!

I have not seen this function in the BT interface. You may want to email Duram at BatTec and he will be able to answer. He normally responds quickly.

Please send me per PM the email of Duram at BatTec

I checked with the dealer on the screen of their ista/p computer the values of the injectors coded in my DME (actually taken a picture of the screen with my phone camera in secret behind the tech )

Then at home checked one by one the injectors, all have correct values.
The dealer says it is impossible that there is one new injector defective! they say it is my imagination
Unfortunately my car doesn't run rough so that the dealer notice it.
Only when oil reaches 100°C then the idle is at 550RPM and the engine has misfire lets say every 30 sec (it shakes the seats). There are random misfires at VOT but so short that DME don't throw a code.

Yes one injector is expensive, but the dealer let me understand they won't do anything any more, the car has 2 years and 6 months out of warranty

if you have verified the dealer has actually cleared the adaptation values, and re-calibrated the injectors correctly, what leads you to believe this is the source of your problem?

there are other factors, and components in the engine which could induce this type of problem -

you may want to consider doing the following before committing to an injector replacement.

do as one poster suggested -- get some video of the car manifesting the problem, and show it to the guys at the dealer --

or try the diagnositic route and give this a try...

if you are sure there is a cylinder that is too lean or too rich, put the car on an exhaust analyser and itll show high HC if there is a lean misfire, or high CO if its running to rich, or a combination of both, if the problem is real bad

Injectors are $171.00 and the labor is 1.5 hours....I have had 2 out of 6 brand new injectors fail. They are actually causing misfires and coding. Bmw insists that their new injectors do not fail. I am taking it back and if warranty will not buy another one for me...I will have to pay i guess. About $400 total for injector, install, programming. May as well do a few while your at it. Only .1 hour labor for each additional injector.
