Although there have been no problems relating to a pulley, it's hard to imagine that there would be no repercussions with changing out a harmonicaly dampened pulley with a non harmonic dampened pulley.
With whatever hp gains there are, it's not worth it to me to add a device like this with no solid evidence that there's no worries with the engine.

Thanks Mr 5 for your input...It means alot to me because if it was anything thats safe for performance gains, your car would already have it, I am eighty-sixing this mod out for sure on my ride!

When I read dinans website all I hear unfortunatelly is bla bla bla.. Wish I understood it better but I don't...just because they say it may cause serious damage to the engine how is that quantified?? Real world evidence has shown that pulleys are a solid upgrade obviously when installed properly..running a tune is also damaging to the turbos and a whole bunch of other engine related componets when longevity is concerned but they don't talk about that for obvious reasons..With every mod you do to the car you're risking premature engine wear and/or damage ..

NST have taken the OEM pulley, cut right through it and found that it WASN'T a harmonic damper there...to each their own obviously..will report back on this mod once I have it installed..

In the turbo Miata world (which I used to be a part of), many years ago, lots of guys upgraded to underdrive non-harmonic crank pullies. Many blown up engines soon followed (it only seemed to affect the boosted miata engines and not the NAs). Might not be apples and oranges comparison (stright 6 is nautrally very well balanced), but something to think about before you decided to replace it for minor HP gain.

My guess is that stock like e90 engine will be fine, but more power you are making, you are probably pushing the envelop with this change.
