Fing PISSED!!!
I was having such a great day today. Took advantage of happy hour drinks from 3 till nowish. I was sober getting in my car. Picked up some tacos from El Suaz and was heading home. Sounds like a fucking excellent thursday to me !
I am on my block driving into my parking lot and would you look at that! blue and red lights behind me. WTF!!! Long story short, I got pulled over for not having license plates on my car. Are you fucking kidding me, the car is 2 weeks old. My license expires on the 18th of February; my birthday, and my lazy ass hadn't renewed it. But I have 30 days to renew it? I was cited for not having a valid drivers license, 12500(a). Thanks for fucking up my night pig! Im moving out of glendale!!!! I cant even drive a new car with dealer plates!!! Im so furious right now I'm burning up with anger. Bullshit reason to cite me, Im going down to the police station tomorrow. I don't know for what but I am! Just venting!!!

Just being dick! I believe you can drive with dealer plates for a while as long as you still have the dealer sticker on the front windshield. Also if your car is dirty looking, they will usually pull you over because some people take years before they put their plates on after they receive them. A friend had his plates off of his CLK for two years never once had a problem in the bay area.

I had stopped around 9-10. I had sobered up, and made sure I had water and a little appetizer before I left. Im a taxi taking guy if im drunk.
It was raining yesterday so the car was a little dirty. Its been 2 weeks since the purchase I haven't received the plates nor the insurance card. I did have the registration on the window. I wonder how long after expiration of my drivers license I could drive. I believe it should be 30 days, but I just googled it, and the dmv site says if its expired you may be cited. This blows.

Thanks guys I'm going to renew today. The cop didn't circle anything next to the violation; correctable, or not. So I'm hoping that's to my advantage.
I purchased a 335I.

looks to me like you shouldve been on top of things and renewed your license. (i think they send you a notice more than 30 days before its going to expire...)

How else are they gonna fix the budget without having to be fiscally responsible?
Be thankful you didn't get the DUI fisting! Sounds like this guy was looking to fuck with you and your new vehicle.
