Probably a noob question but here it goes...

My e92 didn't have idrive. My e90 does so I'm kinda new to this feature. I took it in for service and when I picked it up everything on the screen was different like the colors and whatnot. Is there a reason for this? I like the old layout better...

Um. What year is your E90? I've actually never heard of this before.

it means you got a software update. could be good, could be bad, depends on which version you got. Mostly bad tho.

It's an 07. Everything looks different. I mean it still works fine I just don't really like the color scheme and the way some of the things are layed out. What do the different versions do? What's different about them?

If it's not broke..... Has anyone ever had a software update on a PC that went perfectly?
The update is the reason for the new colors and layout.

How about you name your thread properly next time. It helps when people actually want to search for something.

Yep, it's a software update. Mine did the same thing after I had the software updated and ipod adapter installed. All your info (average mpg, address book, radio presets, etc.) might have been reset (mine was), but otherwise there's nothing to worry about.
