PROcede V4 code clearing

If clear codes with the PROcede, disconnect the car battery and remove The PROcede then reconnect the car battery up again, will the car record that I've disconnected/reconnected the battery? Does that make sense even?

Just wondering because I have to bring in my car for service tomorrow.

Thanks in advance all!

You really don't even have to disconnect the battery if you wait a 30s or so after ignition off before unplugging your DME connectors. But if you want to play it super safe, yes, just do exactly as you described.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply Shiv! I should have been more clear with my question. My question was focused more on the fact that when I reconnect the battery back up (after I've removed the PROcede) can the dealer see through a DME scan that I've done so? I don't them asking me questions about why I disconnected and reconnected the battery.

If they ask about the battery being disconnected tell them you were on extended leave and disconnected the battery. They can't argue with that.

That's a good one. Never really thought about that. I highly doubt that they would ask you why you've been disconnecting the battery anyways.

100 bucks says they don't even ask. I wouldn't worry battery disconnects tell them nothing and they can do all the assuming they like.

They can tell, I just brought mine in and they asked me if I had any problems with the battery because it's telling them it was disconnected and the date and time needs to be set. This was all from the key fob when I first dropped the car off. They even knew I drove around without the seatbelt on. I was really thrown off when they asked.

I would think so, but I don't have one. Next time the car goes in for service, I'm going to make sure the procede comes out a few days before.

The battery disconnection code will not be there after a couple days?
