Why the hell does it seem every time I have to use my navigation it takes me through the damn ghettos. It's like they are out to kill me. Every damn time!!! And I live in Baltimore so these are real ghettos haha. Under route selection they should have a "avoid gangland" route.

Your nav is probably set to "shortest time." The nav, knowing it is installed in a 335i, knows that you will drive "crazy fast" through gangland to avoid getting 'jacked, thereby making it the "shortest time" route to take.

The BMW navigation kinda blows sometimes. It's not as intuitive and everything you type in has to be an exact match. Otherwise it won't show up. Sometimes it would take me a few tries to find something just because it's in a different category and one would think.

I usually get sent through the ghetto in LA when ever there's traffic and I tell the nav to make it a dynamic route. She takes me through some tiny, shady streets lol

all GPS makers for every company should hire people to go around and constantly update ghetto regions and send them to the GPSes, and of then of course add the avoid ghetto option

Same problem exist in Philly,

If you use the never loss in the rental cars and want to head north of the city it runs you through the middle of the city and the worse sections when there are two perfectly good highways that go around the city and keeps you out of the bad areas.

If you are not familiar with the area and know to avoid this are you could find yourself in lots of trouble.

Yup BMW navi kinda sucks, especially sucks hard in POI category.
So hard to browse anything if anything.
Man I wish ours could do voice search like audi and merc instead of flipping through hard to choose category and must be exact name search. PITA

i have more confidence in my cheapo Nuvi 200 than my BMW nav. usually a 40% chance the BMW nav won't recognize the street name i'm trying to input.
