Unhappy Injury caused by arm rest of my 2 days old 335i e92

I was trying to get my cell phone out of the center arm-rest storage compartment, leaning inside with an opened driver door. While closing the lid, my small finger got rubbed against some sharp edge inside - not exactly sure which surface was it though and caused minor cut to my small figure.

Anyone else went through minor injury or similar experience(s) in routine operation?? Just curious...

I have not noticed any sharp edges anywhere on the car, including the center console.

Because I need to access my Treo 650 smartphone for my database and phone calls, etc., I've been leaving my phone sideways in the opened ashtray, and it seems to be ok there. There's no way I would put it inside the (very small) storage in the center armrest anyway as it would be a real pain to have to take it out all the time. However, the few times I've gone into the armrest for gum, pens, etc., I haven't noticed any sharp edges...maybe you should have your SA look at it, and try placing your cellphone in the opened ashtray (assuming you don't smoke of course. ).

I checked mine and absolutely no sharp edges. In fact there is a nice rubber seal all around the top of the lid inside. I even checked the outside and nothing sharp.

The latch on the inside of the cover has a slightly rough edge. I hope you have a full recovery and lead as full a life as possible given your debilitating injury.

I sliced my finger wide open on the engine cover the first day I owned the car. Had to use a bandaid and everything.

why the heck they removed the kit from US/Canada versions? I know europeans enforce strict laws when it comes to ergonomics and safety - may be that's making them include the kit. My 05' Lexus GX470 has the kit in it and there isn't a euro version of it...

you know that you can buy a first aid kit from your local walmart, drug store...etc for cheap right?
