Just installed Procede and Fans are on full blast on cold start!??!

I just installed the procede, I don't have and codes car is idling fine, but the radiator fans are on full blast!! I'm not sure why this is happening. Also when i got the procede, the user torque was set to 100 I changed it to 70 and i put ignition correction at 100.

I was wondering since I am running factory cats should I change the 02 modifier to 0? Right now it is at 100% since I have factory cats should I change it 0? Is there anything else i should know??

If the fans are on full blast, there's a good chance that something is not hooked up corrected. The Procede does not control fans. But having a subconnector plugged in backwards can kick them on. Any errors on the dash?

On the package that the procede came it is says " Stg 1 6MT 2-23 V4 MAP "

I thought it was already set for stage 1 but when I plugged in my computer to view the map the UT was set at 100 and overboost limit to 17 and overboost delay 5. Should I change the 02 Modifier, to 0??

That's right. Those settings are fine. All the current different stage maps share those same default user adjustable settings.

If this goes away on a restart I would not worry about it.

When i used to install JB3 on my car, I would get the same thing on about 1 of 10 installs. Full blast fans on initial startup.....WTF?

Terry speculated it may have been due to some self diagnostics but I have seen others post about this symptom as well.

I have had about four of those full blast fan startups over the last year and a half......only immediately after a tune install.

The fan thing happens when you disconnect/reconnect power sometimes. It probably won't happen on restart. Nothing to worry about IMO.

So I assume the 100% setting for UT is because stage 1 map is loaded on their. So therefore its 100% of the stage 1 map. I turned speed delimiter to 1 (on) but what about lag fix? Should i leave that off or turn that to 1 also??

Thanks Shiv, I'm really excited about the procede and am very interested in the CANlove Maps!!

First time I ever installed a JB3 it did the same thing. Just restarted and it was perfectly fine. I know a lot of people with both tunes where this has happened. Not an issue AFAIK, but enough to scare you if you haven't seen it happen before.

There is no adaption involved other than octane adaption which is pretty subtle. If the car ever goes into limp mode (it shoudn't), read the code as it will probably point you to something that should be addressed.

If it went into limp mode you defintely intstalled something wrong. It should not do that. If it does it again, recheck your installation.

Speed delimiter changed to on (1) means you've set the PROcede to override the DME induced factory speed limit. Is that what you wanted?

I got a limp mode only twice since the install, but it doesn't feel as if it is pulling at all, it just feels like stock? The car drives it ok I pretty sure my installation is correct I took my time with it, it runs and it seems to be fine but when i press the DTC button it doesnt flash any indication of map switching at all.

Can u read the codes? That would suggest what is wrong. You shouldn't get any codes. Even during adaption.

You have PM.

so Speed Delimiter set to "1" means no more speed limit? What about lag fix? I read this only apply to those lives in high altitude? I was doing some run against M3 today and SES came on, no limp mode then about 15sec later SES disappeared...car ran fine. I thought I hit the factory speed limiter...Speed Delimiter was set at "0" when this happend. Hooked up PROceed, no codes were found, I set Speed Delimiter to "1" thinking setting to "0" means I still have factory speed limiter engaged. HELP.

My fan has being going nuts recently as well. It's random, not occurring every time and a restart solves it (does not happen on cold start either).

No codes, procede runs fine. Where are the temperature sensors located?

"lag fix" needs to be renamed in the software as it no logner controls this. You need to read the "user adjustable" section on shiv's forum. And Shiv, with all due respect, you really need to 'tidy' things like this up because I have been using procede's software for a while and still get confused.

http://www.vishnutuningforum.com/for...ead.php?t=1037

Since you have cats, leave o2 at 100%.

Sorry, just realised you have the non auto tune maps, so stg1 100% UT is ok.

I went into limp mode within 5 minutes of changing to map 1 after initial install. I attributed this to not waiting for oil to warm up to proper range first. I never had a problem since.

The car also got smoother under partial throttle over the next three days to the point that power delivery is now better than stock, most noticable in partial throttle 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. I am now wondering if the MCDV which I haven't installed yet is even necessary!
