Locked keys in trunk..BMW Assist can't Unlock!

Hey everyone,
I had my keys in my bag and opened my trunk and put it in. Usually the trunk inlocks if you put the key in there..as soon as I did it I was like
Needless to say it didnt work this time...

so I called BMW Road Side service and the rep told me that they cant do that in our cars yet - any BMW for that matter..not until 2008 models at least!

I'm like WTF..OnStar does that...I love my car (especially after driving my friends..) but I cant believe that they couldnt do it!

Just to end the day I out my wife's keys in and closed the trunk, still no worky!

anyway just wanted to bitch..

M.

Think this is only if you have Comfort Access...According to the E92 Manual:

Unlocking the luggage compartment
lid separately
Press the button on the outside of the luggage
compartment lid. This corresponds to pressing
the button.
If the vehicle detects that a remote control
has been accidentally left inside the
locked vehicle's cargo bay after the luggage
compartment lid is closed, the lid will reopen.
The hazard warning flashers flash and an
acoustic signal* sounds.

BMW assist on 2007 model year vehicles can get your car unlocked remotely.

did the same - i had the spare but did call my BMW sales rep. he said that they couldopen the l ocks on the 335. i did not confirm they can. For sure, comfort access will not work with keys in trunk.
