What's Your Console Gaming Setup?
- Xbox 360 Arcade w/HDMI
- Viewsonic 22" 1080p LCD monitor (Vx2260wm) - Audio-Technica AD700 headphones w/ Astro MixAmp - Mainly for H3/H2/MW2 (in that order) and soon-to-be Halo: Reach I'm using the Arcade because my Premium 360 eventually threw a code that Microsoft wouldn't fix (E 74) after sending it in for RROD 4 times. I then had to buy a new one, so I just picked up the Arcade and used my old HDD. The monitor and headphones are currently on-order and I should have them within the next 2 weeks. For the headphones, I'm gonna be using FraGTaLiTy's Audio-Technica AD700 boom mic Mod. I was looking at getting the Astro A40's with the MixAmp, but the setup I went with is much more cost-effective.

- Sony BRAVIA KDL-XBR3 52" LCD TV
- Xbox 360 Pro (60gig) w/HDMI - PS3 for Blue-ray -Bose Lifestyle V20 home system for audio. It's not really just for gaming though. I watch alot of movies. Never had a RROD or YLOD (PS3) fortunately. The new 360's with the Jasper chip are supposed to have like a less than 2% failure rate. (Mine's a Falcon, but I haven't had any issues) I also usually install games to my HD to avoid unnecessary wear and tear on the disc drive, though that's hard to do with a 20gig (Arcade).

I'm the same way. I have to lower my sensitivity like crazy when i'm on a much bigger screen and even then i'm nowhere near how i am on my usual screen (less than 24")

Samsung 55" 8000 LED TV. (I love this set for gaming. Sleek look and the rest of the performance definitely make up for the higher price tag and difficult calibration settings)
Ps3 40gb Had the blu ray drive fail about a year ago Xbox 360 elite that I never play unless it's an exclusive title or to watch Netflix. I had the ps3 first so I usually default to buying all multi-platform releases for that. Yamaha rx-V645 receiver that has 4 HDMI inputs that I plug the ps3, Xbox 360, Laptop, and cable box into. I bought it specifically for the HDMI inputs. The TV is wall mounted over a fireplace so I wanted to only run 1 HDMI up to it. Sound is good but not top of the line with just the right, left, center channels running. The room is pre-rigged for a full surround system but I don't think I'll ever put in the other channels. I live in a condo and can rarely turn it up without pissing off the neighbors anyway. That's about it. I'm a big Samsung guy, still have my old 32" LCD that I keep out in the living room too and will simultaneously be watching TV and laying waste to people in BF:BC2. I don't think I could get away with that If I was married, but it does work well with the GF since I can just turn down the volume on the gaming set and she can watch Grey's and consider it quality time together -BMW2006 |

-New Xbox 360 Slim (My old 360 red ringed 3 days prior to trading it.)
-PS3 80gb (backwards compatible model) -Black Wii -Nintendo DS for when I am traveling -Gateway 24" monitor that will be replaced by a Panasonic 50" plasma soonish -Cheapo Wal-Mart 5.1 setup that works astonishingly well considering its price, but that will be replaced as well. My rig sucks, but I'm saving for a down payment on a 135i, so I'm stuck with it for awhile. |
