19 months left and feeling Curious input would help
Just as the post says, i got about 19 or 18 months left on my lease, e92 328 sliver, black intr, every option but navi and cruise assit.
i totally love this car from the gas mileage to the ride and quality. now here is the thing i currently have a payment of $487 i only put 2k out of pocket for taxes. i dont want to pay more then 525 for the next lease, what i would like to know would it feasible to get my hands on a 335 e92 for max 2k out of pocket no more then 525 a month. i know its still early in the game to be thinking about this but just wanted some open opinions . thANKS |

19 months is a long time. What I would do is make some sort of plan so that 19 mos. from now, you are in a position to buy something. Not knowing your situation, I don't know what that something is. But $487/mo. to me is a nuisance as far as cash flow goes--I had a payment about the same give or take $2, and I had to put over 20k down. I got tired of it and paid it off in 36 mos. It took an amortization of 60 months to get the payment there.
Next month, pay the $487 and stash $200 away for your next car. If you can't do it, back off, if you can, add some more. 19 mos. from now you've got ~ $4k saved up. If you can get a beater, start stashing away $687/mo., and build up a reserve. That's what I would do. Because that $487 lease payment would be principal curtailment $$$ to me that I'd want to apply towards my mortgage. Not everyone has a mortgage so that's just me... p.s. it's not really a game, if you go ahead and lease again, that's 6 years of pymts. and you're setup to do it again. Pretty soon 9 becomes 12 and there you go.... |
