Military Status

I was wondering why there are so many military people posting here. Not that I have anything against them. I have the upmost respect for everyone serving in the military.

However, I notice that I have been drafted as well! I am now a private first or third class. How did this happen? Are most of the military references bogus? How do I correct mine? I am not in the military and do not intend to impersonate one.

Thanks

Dude, you can change that to whatever you want. I guess that is just how they set it up for how many posts you have. Go to user CP and you can change it there under edit profile.

Nah don't worry. I am a military guy myself and was a little confused when I first started this thing because some are totally wrong.

If only getting promoted in the real military is as easy as posting on your favorite car forum. We'd be too busy modding our cars to fight wars.

The reason so many of us military guys (like me) keep posting in here is because we have a paycheck with no medical insurance to pay for, it's free, extra money in it for allowances and benefits, no mortgage, most of us have no kids or wives...most of us have been deployed defending YOUR country so we come home with 30,000 plus bucks...in pocket to spend, tax free!

So, when you ask...hmm, why sooooooo many military guys in here????

It's easy, go down to your nearest recruiting office, sign up, put a rifle in your hand, go to Iraq for a year (or too often more!) and go catch some VBIED or IED explosives and then.....ONLY THEN....will you realize why so many "military guys" have BMW's.....
....WE EARNED THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude,
He was was confused about why there was a rank sign under his name. I don't think anyone was questioning anything else. Just a mistake.

Right there with you, the wife and I have both been to Iraq twice, and now I am going to be stationed at Ft. Iriwn. I can't get away from the desert.

67bmer, get down and give me 100 pushups and don't talk back to a Colonel either. Dude, just playing. I think it is great seeing our yuong men/women serving this country joining e90post. I think we should have a military section just for them to mingle and share their experience.

Congratulations.

I certainly hope that wasn't as the commander of an LSD, aka, Large Steel Desk.

Actually that would be a really cool idea with the whole military section.

Also, an even better section would be to seperate the E90-91's from the E92-93's.

The problem, and maybe its just me, but I get confused sometimes what people are talking about since the cars are so different. If products are being sold I have to ask if they belong to the E92's or not. Stuff like that. I dunno.

LOL....You work at Corps, right?

Just the same, welcome back to Germany after a rough, long year. Everyone who comes back from there deserves to treat themselves to something....like a BMW!
