It sounds like the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) aka Potentiometer on the throttle is bad.

Without that, the ECU doesn't know when you do a throttle movement, so it cannot to the acceleration enrichment.

Update:

So after much frustration because the car was in a permanent limp no matter how many times I tried to clear the code it kept coming back.

I email terry and within seconds he suggested to reset the adaptation values for the throttle body which I have done already with no luck, then he suggested to double check the gray sub-connector for any loose wires, I did that and didn't find any problems, but I still unplugged it and plugged it back in just to make sure.

I ran the bt pro and the code went away but this time the 3100 code was there and it didnt want to clear either, so Im like wtf?, I loaded the jb3 software and reloaded the latest firmware, after that I plugged the bt pro again and all the codes clear, went for a drive and everything seemed to fixed it self.

I think by unplugging the gray sub-conector somewhat fixed the problem, and I give thanks to Terry for giving me options and keeping me focus on the problem, like I always said, thanks to the excellent customer support and Terry's dedication to his clients, I would have been going crazy trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with my car...

Thanks Terry...

If the problem comes back I will update with further info...I wonder how much is a throttle body?

searching for help..

Hello ******.

I have some problems with my M3 E93 2008.
From one day to another limp mode and permanent fault codes 2B14 and 5E19.
Throttle valve initialization.
I have imported the car from US and unfortunately that means that there is no warranty in Europe..
To take the car to a dealer is very expensive 250$/h.. and it can take a looong time to find out he problem..
Therefore I am searching for help in forums..
So far I have found several ideas but unfortunately I haven’t found anything that mach my fault codes..
Therefore I would like to have the contact information to this Terry guy..
Hope you can help me out..
