BMW Team RBM’s Andy Priaulx won a chaotic race in Morocco
Andy Priaulx won a fragmented second World Touring Car race in Morocco today, having to survive just two racing laps from his reverse-grid pole position. Priaulx started from the front after finishing eighth in the day's earlier race and only had to hold his lead as far as the first corner before the first caution period. A pile-up in the tight pack at the start was triggered when Rob Huff's Chevrolet spun across the front of Fredy Barth's SEAT and into the wall. After the restart Alain Menu tried to pass Augusto Farfus driving around the outside of the BMW. There was contact between them and both cars veered straight on into the wall. That accident was only cleaned up in time for the final lap, during which Priaulx held off Yvan Muller's Chevrolet - almost clipping the wall himself.
