PROcede's and BOV

Q: I am very interested on installing a BOV (Blow-off Valve), is that going to be a problem?
A: It is best for one to resist the temptation of installing an aftermarket BOV as our cars were not designed to release excess boost pressure into the atmosphere. Doing so will effect the PROcede’s tuning and cause the car to run poorly. The car was designed to recirculate that excess air back into the intake system. Bleeding off the air that was accounted for by the MAF sensor will confuse everything.

I got this off of Vishnu site. I was wondering if anybody does run the BOV with their system and if they do what kind of problems if any are they having. I want the crazy horsepower but I also want the BOV. If is it going to hurt my car then I will just go with the power instead of the sound of BOV. Any inputs would help out.

That was a generic answer they put up from a different car. There is ZERO issue with venting to air as we do not have MAF's in this vehicle.

no problem with bovs just as long as they don't leak or are too stiff.

No problem at all!

Currently running AA BOV with Procede and they seem to get along really well. Go for it!

Shiv,
What are you using in your cars; BOV, aftermarket or stock DVs? What do you have in the car in this video? You can hear the whoosh in the first few seconds... Just curious. Thanks!

Shiv, i had a similar question in another thread a month ago, but didn't have any answer.
I made the forge oem bmw valves, with yellow springs, to act like blow off valves. They blow out air (you can hear it) even with 1 psi boost.
The question is that, having the v3 maps (7-29-2009) when i accelarate over 4500rpm and made a very quick shift the valves doesn't blow off air (you can't hear them). Any thoughts?

I think Shiv is running Forge DVs with DCI...WHen your fully modded you hear all sorts of induction noise which are amplified and sometimes it does sound like there is a BOV!
