a little cold start problem?

hi fellows, please don't type HPFP to your first reaction after reading my symptoms, i want to see if there's other possibility to cause this problem.

yesterday morning, cold start, slightly long crank, well i'll say about 1.5 sec top. car was running fine. and this morning, no more long crank, but turned out while the car is firing up, i could hear a split second that it was pausing the start up process. like "crank -> stop/pause (a split second) -> car started, all done within 1.5 second.

i periodically use my BT to scan if any codes but nothing found.
any possibility that could cause the problem? i was told i may running a bad batch of gas since i just pumped a full tank 3 days ago and the car only ran 30 miles so far on the new tank of gas.

thanks for all inputs!

a little side note:

HPFP replaced 5000 miles ago
ALL injectors replaced 4000 miles ago

Could be bad gas, spark plugs, injectors....Number of things. All you can do is wait and see if it comes back!

Just had the same problem. Software issue in "cold start profile" only does it first start of the day right?

Bring it in to BMW and let them hook it up. Good to go.

I was pissed as I thought it was the fuel pump at first.

Minor problem bud, they can fix it in ten minutes and then you get a free carwash! Lol.

My fuel pump blew three days after they fixed the "cold start profile" :-)
but I must say that I'm impressed with the service I recieved from competition BMW. I called at 1030 pm. The car was picked up by 1030 am the next morn and a loaner dropped off 1/2 hour later. Car was repaired and washed in 24 hours.
