FML I Failed...

FML so my finance teacher calls my cell and lets me know i did not make the minimum C+ to pass. got a 68 avg and the magic # is 72. FML, but i can only blame myself, i really slipped in his class.

but fuck i feel so shitty right now having to repay mad dough to take this course over, feel like wasting money which it really is.

on the brighter side i passed all my other classes with flying colors B+ to A, just bombed 1 course.

FML imma go hang myself now.

yea, had one call me one time to tell me to drop the class because i wasnt going to make it...reason was i hardly ever went bc my priorities were parting and girls etc...thats changed now

I feel ya, having one of those days too.

I passed all my finance classes, including grad level courses, with flying colors. Since graduating 3 years ago, I've been investing alot. I lost about 80% of my savings today in one single blow with some call options. I doubt they will rebound, since it's a sept exp date. Good buy down payment on a house.

On the same note, you've got four months left, and you're giving up already? I just don't see how you could have put yourself in the position to lose (you haven't lost it yet) 80% of your savings in one day of trading. You WERE writing uncovered calls, right?

i withdrew the same class twice but i was taking 18 credits each semester finally put some midnight oil into it and got a B and passed... college was rough...

That sucks. If it makes you feel any better, in one of my college classes, a 27% (after the curve) constituted a passing grade......and people still failed.

I had a bad ass Professor....senior year for a money and banking class....guy was awesome...smart as hell....retired portfolio manager, MBA, CFA...the works...knew finance inside and out.

I learned more in his class then any other class I took in school....but his tests were TOUGH.....

first test everyone got destroyed....I think I got a 58.......but then got a 87 and 94 on the final. thats all there was...3 tests....

got a A- for the course.....so there is always the curve thing. BUT, I took the time to go sit with him after my bomb, show him I was interested and dedicated about improving, and also get an opportunity to pick his brain and just discuss finance/economics.

I always found if you show interest in the class...make an effort to get to know your professors....come grading time...that is the difference between the B+ and A....or the pass and fail. Just my .02
