Right Brake Like Malfunction Warning

Anyone experience this error message on their e90/e92? The error message was intermittent at first but now it's on all the time. I got out to check while my girlfriend pressed on the brake and it was working. I have a service appointment tomorrow to have it checked out.

I searched the forums and I see some people in the U.S. having this problem but wanted to know if any forum members had experience dealing with the dealership with this. Apparently it could be wiring or software.

Found this Technical Bulletin:

If they find it to be a blown bulb, does our warranty cover this?

I had the error warning in the cluster indicating right brake light failure. Had a friend pump the brakes and I could not see anything wrong. It turns out that the rear tail lights will act as a brake light when you have a bulb burn out so it is impossible to tell if the warning is erroneous with out going to the dealer.

Dealer replaced the bulb after they connected it to the diagnostic computer to determine if the fault was legit. Covered under warranty.

the circuit on the rear is loose and not getting a firm contact with the bulbs. just pull out the housing the next time you get an error...you'll see the bulb and how it is just mm's off of the circuit
