Poor Visibility with Xenons

Hi guys. My car is only 4 months old and it has been lowered on H&R Sport springs. At night time I have noticed that visibility is VERY poor. The lights only illuminate the road for about 3 meters in front of me. After that I am in pitch dark and I cannot see anything coming towards me. I am having to use my full beam almost all the time. There is an auto levelling feature on the car which is supposed to compensate for weight load but this is getting beyond a joke.

Has anybody else experienced this? Can the guys at the service adjust the xenons for me so I am getting a better light up of the road?

It is VERY nervewracking to say the least!

The cut off pattern on Xenons is very precise, sounds as if your lights need resetting to conpensate for your lowered set-up.

yes the lights auto level HOWEVER you must have the correct cutoff adjustment.

The auto-levelling is done using two potentiometers, one on the O/S/F suspension lower arm and one on the O/S/R arm. A lowered set-up in itself will make no difference but I'd wager one of two things has happened.

1) The plastic rod which joins the potentiometer to the suspension arm is broken (easily done)

2) The plastic arm was not clipped back on after the suspension upgrade.

Remove your wheels and have a look - the arm has a ball-join connection which can unclip.
