Dangers of a Track Day? Evo crashes into M3

Seems the Evo driver backed off mid corner and slid straight into the side of the M3. Got a track day booked tomorrow at Oulton Park in the 'Pug, looking like a slippy wet day ahead....wished I had never watched this vid

(can't seem to embed the youtube vid, so click on the link!)

What was the Evo still doing on the track when the next run group was exiting the pit?

Thats not mid corner, its the exit of La Source @ Spa Francorchamps, he is on the way out and would be on the throttle like he should have been. LOOKS LIKE The water on the kerb caught him out eh.

Shame for the M3 owner, I hope he at least had track insurance.

TBH mate you do get a lot of Numpties at Coombe, always have done.

He should have stayed in the car, and the session should have been red flagged before he got out. As proven, another numpty has stacked into him.

Haven't booked yet as every date I look at I am working or have other commitments. Castle Coombe track days are more often than not weekdays. Not good when I am supposed to be working. Looking at RAF Colerne on Sat 24th July as a possibility.

I saw that happen, the worst of it was the guy was fixing the evo a few garages up from the M3 afterwards and never even bothered to apologise.

He then made all kinds of excuses as to why it happened on the Mitsi lancer register `till someone posted up the video.

Apparently he then managed to piss everyone at the port off on the way back by jumping the que.

I hate the sound of cars crashing. Its never good. Always exciting to see how they end up and how the BMW handles the crash, but I hate hearing it...
