What do you think of the RCZ?

Recently a certain sports coupe has caught my attention...

As I've been looking for a new daily car, I'm actually considering this.

What do you think?

It looks very nice and aggresive looking too. I would be worried about residuals, but it looks like these are going to be in high demand.

I'm not convinced... It does look great but Peugeot have been miles off the pace for ten years now!

Looks great but I can't help but notice the Audi R8 styling and beefed up Lexus SC rear end

What are you using as a DD at the moment?

The rest looks pretty nice actually.

Still think you should milk them for a nice little F10 though - after all, you can't put a price on good PR, right?

The fronts a bit vanilla "206 style", thought the roof bumps are quite interesting.

Would the novelty wear off before you sold it?

They don't do them in brown or bronze but they will allow you to spec the roof pillars in a golden champagne colour!

Saw this at the ring and it didn't look as good in the metal as it does in the photos unfortunately.

It's French!

Expect the electric to screw up.

Need I say more.

Stick to a German car

A work college has just bought a 207 with the same 1.6 engine and it's sounds like a diesel, he took it back to the dealer, who said "that's normal, it's a characteristic of the engine" Bag O Shite

Looks quite nice, but about 10 years behind the Germans

I'd rather have a lightly used TT/370Z etc

isn't that engine a shared design with bmw/mini?

I know someone who took his car in for a service as the new RCZ was arriving. The sales guys took it for a spin and ran out of petrol and the car engine blew up!! There is already a recall on them for the water pump.

not a great start in my eyes

Seen one on the road. It had a little play with the BM. Nice little car and quite nippy and a looker. Not sure about the butt cheek roof though.

Glad they've made a sporty car again. It's been a while.

Not for me though..

I saw one of these on the A1 yesterday.Looked nice for a girly car. That rear screen looks very expensive should it need replacement. Its clearly aimed at wannabe TT drivers but sadly its a peugeot which means that it is poo. They will sell loads of them though as there are a significant quantity of wannabees desperate enough to buy french if it looks good.
Interior doesnt inspire. I think it's just okay.
If you have any doubt about my ability to spot a car which is poo please be advised that I owned an Austin Maxi in the very distant past.!!!

All valid points, a lot of the above has made me laugh and most importantly I am now sufficiently unconvinced . It's still a good looking car though (minus the front end), but only because it looks like a TT.

So moving swiftly along...

I had a Mk1 TT 3.2 dsg s/c which I only got rid of a few weeks back. I'd love to get a new TT but it will just end up way over my cash budget - to stick with that I'll be looking at a 07-08 model (really would prefer a brand new car).
