Can someone please illustrate step by step.
I tried to follow the instructions in the manual but still no luck. So either its not supported in my car or God knows what else. |

Not all roads are in 3D.
So, you're probably just in place that doesn't have it at the moment, or it's not turned on. On the main map screen, one of the icons that are stacked on the left is the one which changes from top down, to perspective. When in perspective, this alone won't make it 3D. For this you press the options button next to the Idrive and in there, some where, is the 3D option. I think it's with the night view setting (I'm not sure it's actually called 3D either) I find 3D quite annoying in London though because the buildings block your view of the road. But it's still quite cool being able to see the London Eye and Big Ben on the map etc...

When your in your map, go up the menu on the left to map view(i think) and press the idrive till it says perspective - DONE!

Do you mean perpective mode view (like a regular TomTom style) or are you expecting to see 3D buildings and such.
The 3D buildings are only in city centers and a few built up areas, but you can see them by moving the interactive map to central london or something. Wembley stadium looks particularly cool when you drive past it. That said, it does get annoying in city centres, London and Birmingham particularly as the buildings block the view of the road and you can't see the line you are supposed to be following |
