Will I need a re' re-map?

My car is due to be picked up this morning after the dealer has had to replace a part within the alarm system that seemed to be draining the battery. Was planning on picking up last night but was told the car is being re-programmed and will take about 2 hours.

My question is, will this re-programme have wiped my Evolve remap and reset it to factory default?

Chances are they will have wiped it if they kept the car overnight for programming.

I am sure you will be able to tell if the map is no longer there!

If it has just book in with us again and we will remap the car again FOC.

+1; it's heartening to hear of such excellent and personal service. If only their software was Mac compatible, I'd go for the Evolve switch in a heartbeat.
Hope you're listening Imran!!!

Appreciate that Imran, but 'Parallels' just turns your Mac into a 'Windows' computer and consequently more vulnerable to outside interference. It also slows the machine down and having heard several negative reports, I'm not prepared to take the risk.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with a Mac who'd like one of your switches - is it a major problem to make your software dual system compatible?

The demand from customers who want it to run on MAC is so low it doesn't justfiy the development time unfortunately. We have sold many switches to MAC customers who use the relevant software.

Just use VMware (trial)...

This doesn’t interfere with your Mac other than host an O/S on the Mac.

http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/

Host a windows session for the re-map and when not needing it power the host down. Lets be honest it’s like once every three months you may need to power up the Virtualised windows host?

PS. its Mac not MAC – the Mac isn’t an acronym. It’s just plain old Mac(intosh).

Many thanks for the suggestion; I'll have a look.
PS: I know it's Mac as opposed to MAC, but did you know it's it's as opposed to its? The former is a contraction of 'it is', whereas the latter is a possessive pronoun!

No performance issues that I can tell at the moment but I have noticed that now when I press the AUTO air con button it displays the circulation screen for about 10 seconds then returns to previous screen.

Now I'm getting paraniod that the remap has been changed!

Do you think this is one of those v27/29 etc progman updates?

Forgive me if I have the wrong impression, but it seems as if you're unsure as to whether or not your re-map has been 'wiped' whilst the car was being serviced.
If that's the case and you can't tell the difference, it would appear that re-mapping might not be worth the expense.

No, it's definitely worth the expense!! I am just being a bit paranoid that because the dealer had to re-program the car it may have lost the remap and also I was interested to know why I now have what seems to be a new function with the air circulation!

Believe me that the remap was/is the best thing that I have done to the car....also the service at Evolve is second to none!

After having had the remap now for a year (with no problems btw) you tend to get very used to the extra performance and probably think that...'mmm is it as fast as it should be?' so the idea that someone has plugged in a laptop to the OBC and reprogrammed it you just feel a bit wary!

Suffice to say all is well, they only adjusted the CAS (CAR ACCESS SYSTEM)
