Anyone interested in a Macbook Air? I believe my laptop is 1st gen, 1.8gig w the 80gb HD. Bought it brand new. I'm looking to upgrade to a Macbook Pro.

Still has Applecare, 1.5 years old now (I bought it in Feb 09), so whatever the difference is Applecare still. Only issue, it has a broken hinge where it will bend all the way back (in no way does this impair how it works or have any screen damage. If you give it a good bump/shake, it will make the screen fold back.

Other than that and a few scratches on the aluminum shell, it works fine, same thing as all the other ones (which means it runs hot). I'll include the super drive too if anything.

i apologize for any odd colors but this is how it looks. as i said, it can bend all the way back but does not stop it from sitting in an up right position.

i'm much more inclined to sell this locally as i dont want anyone to expect anything different from what they are seeing.

i'm looking to move it so please pm with offers, please something reasonable.

why don't you file a claim with apple care if you still have it so they'll fix the hinge??

i know about the bad apple hinge with these. it's never bothered me. why it looks the way it does was due to an accident. again, there's nothing wrong with it other than that...i just want a cheaper upgrade.

apple cares give you extra 2 years with standard 1 year warranty, total 3 years..correct?

i'm not sure about putting ssd in or not. i'm sure you can since it's offered on the apple site and yes it's 3 years total of coverage which half is gone now. i bought in jan/feb 2009. will fill you in with details later when i get home.
