AR desgin dps sound ?
I am considering installing AR design 3" dps in my stock 335i sedan. I was just wondering if the sound was too loud for every day use or not? when i mean too loud I am comparing it with BMW performance exhaust which makes an incredible sound which is sporty but not envasive?
My car is stock, the car is great but the exhaust tone is too weak as it is? Any suggestions guys? |

just change the mufflers if you want better sound. if you do not plan to tune your ECU keep the stock ones. Bastuck quad sounds very good as well as the BMW PE.

Aside from the great performance gains the sound is also a very under-promoted feature of installing catless DPs. Mike |

The sound is good you get a louder/faster turbo spool plus it gives the stock exhaust a deeper tone. IMO this set up is perfect.

AR Downpipes
I just had my AR catless pipes installed yesterday. I have a stock exaust as well. I can't say there is a huge difference in sound. The tone is slightly different and the performance gain is very noticable behind the wheel. I'm really glad I chose AR.

When I added my ARs they combined incredibely well with my BMW perf exhaust to create a very intimidating aggressive sound. I love it, not to mention the added power I get from them. All around great modification.

Do a search under Irishace for his thread, he did a dyno with his set up and got into the 400WHP club.
I think you will be pleased with the results on your car. And speak to Mike@n54tuning he also has catless DPS in stock and on his car!

i have the catless ar with stock exhuast. the exhaust note it deeper but not loud at all, the only thing that really loud is the turbo spooling sound, i have AFE DCis too, everytime i step on gas and window down, i can hear the loud air sucking sound and LOUD whistlling sound from DP. for reference, its WAY MORE LOUDER than my last STI's catless 3" DP.
