Xede with a real-time on/off switch!
Hey Shiv,
You know what would make your Xede even more compelling than it already is? A real-time on/off switch. Think the new M5's power-up mode :-) Further you could have an intermediate mode. So either: 1. Regular ECU/Xede Switch somewhere. 2. Regular ECU/Moderate Xede/Max Xede knob But really though, just the on/off switch would add so much value to your product. I want to get some interest in the forums for such tech. Regards, Michael Last edited by MichaelATL; 12-24-2006 at 12:52 PM.. |

michael, its already been thought of... Shiv is so busy though, tough to make the time for it. I believe the thought is to put the 'switch' in the ashtray? Fellow Atlantan here - who did you get the 335 through?

awesome. i wasnt trying to imply no one had thought of it. I just think it's a really important feature b/c if ur just commuting or what not... no need to be boosted (and put additional wear on your car) but u can just flip a button when u want some mega power gotta love it.

I thought the switch was just to switch between 2 stored maps. I think what Michael is saying is 3, that would be off=stock, on 1=91 Oct, On 2= 100 Oct for instance. Simply by adding off as one of the switch choices offers the equivelent of 3 map choices. Not sure if Shiv planned on this or not but it sounds good to me

I agree, this sounds like a great way to go, and on the face of it doesnt sound like it will be too difficult to do.

How about a valet mode? I know most here would probably park the car themselves but it would be nice to cut boost and set the rev limiter to say 3k.
