Came across this diy for ae drls. Looks more straight forward than the daeos mod. Anybody do it yet?

been doing this on e46's since 2002, for those people who want their angels to light up with unlocking of the door just tap it to your interior lights.
It doesn't work for canadian cars cause no matter what you do, you cannot eliminate that stupid DRL running light (high beam on 6v during the day).

you can get the car recoded to turn off the DRL

so if i get my car re-programmed to turn off the DRL and then do this mod...I will have AE DRLs?

same result to the DAEOS mod?

I've done the tapping mod back on my e46 when we had to retrofit them angel eyes on the car.

You can re-program the car but it has to be a 2006 model, anything later like 2007/2008 CANNOT be re-programmed.

Can do the DRL delete on 2006 models only. Once you do that, you do this mod to get angel eyes DRL.

It depends on the interface and software used to disable the DRL. For example, if you load US software onto the car, you can have access to enable and disable DRL via the stalk. Cross Ave likely does not have the latest hardware or software to disable DRL in the newer cars - this does not mean it can't be done.
