E91 sport steering wheel buttons

Hi Folks,

I'm new so hi to everyone!

Since buying my E91 325i SE the buttons on the steering wheel did not work. Yesterday I plucked up the courage to take the wheel off to investigate the problem and found the wire was misssing.
After shopping around I can't seem to find the buttons being sold seperatley and the the cost for the main dealer to sort it will be through the roof, so I am thinking about making up the wire myself.

Can anyone tell me where to get a circuit diagram showing which pin from the car connects to the rear of the bottons or where I can buy the whole unit for under £50?

Cheers

Unless you are good with a soldering iron you may have a problem.
The wires that go to the switch units are soldered to circuit boards and are not plug and play.
The other problem is that all the wires are the same colour i.e black.
Do you have an empty socket next to the airbag socket on the column?

Cheers for the replies.

In answer to your questions, I am good with the soldering iron and yes ther is an empty socket next to the air bag socket in the column.

How much do you want for your buttons Mrwindymiller coz that would save the time and effort?

Thanks.
