NEED HELP~! bmw performance pK+jb3+vent gauge
I'm running the bmw performance power kit
and i'm thinking of stacking JB3 PNP on it. is there going to be any problem???? DID enough but i can't find anyone actually did that. one more thing, i'm also thinking of getting the vent-integrated boost gauge(p3?). is it possible to switch between the jb3 maps in the cabin with it? they say "mapswitching ONSCREEN" but i can't figure out what that really means. can switch map with the gauge? or just a map display? thanx in advance |

Yes, you can switch maps, on the fly, from the gauge... you pick 4 maps in the jb3 software to be the "vent gauge maps" section of the jb3 user interface, and then as you hold the button on the gauge to switch maps, the gauge displays bc.1 - bc.4 and sends commands to the jb3 to tell it to switch maps on the fly.

Unless Terry Tunes a map specifically for that that Power Kit, I would stay away from the JB3. Not enough testing has been done to ensure safety of your engine combined with BMW's power kit and I wouldn't want be the guinea pig for that. I guess we could see what Mike says, but unless Terry has done some real R&D on integrating the JB3 into a PK equipped car, it's an unwise $15k gamble.

Custom settings are not a problem, but should be done with BMS' guidence to ensure you are getting the right setting for your car. Thus making the USB datacable essential.
