BMW service....wtf?

Quotes from 3 different BMW for front brakes pads/rotors..

range - 1) $550 all in
2) $570 all in
3) $575 + tax

I quote from their Dealership website " Value Service Package"

$447 (prolly dosn't incl tax) Front Pad/Rotor service
My math $447 + HST = $500???

Their excuses
- "we have extra fees for disposal, etc..."
- "fees changed 4 days ago...i'll let the manager know about the website"
- "we have the right to charge more..."

Looks like if you want them to do that service. It would have been a good idea to take the service inclusive...

are they the only shops can do these kind of work?
can I just go to any repair shop and pay less?
as long as we can buy the OEM replacement parts, right.

that's what I did with my e90 2 years ago,
they said they cant warranty the parts since you bought the OEM parts some where else tho.

BMW can deny a warranty for just about anything they like, but it is my understanding one of the things they can not deny a warranty for is using a different shop to install OEM parts. I'd go to an independent BMW mechanic and do the brakes; you'll probably pay under $300.

Can we still get the "service inclusive" package after we already got the car? Say after 2 years already?
My sales guy didn't offer me this package and I didn't know about it. If I knew I would have gotten it

No, but you could have gotten it before 1 yr or 25k which ever comes first...

Usually its not the sales person that will give that package its more the business manager...
