JB3+DCI - Not as fast as hoped? - video inside
Hey fellow 335i JB3 owners -
While my car feels fast, it isn't the holy crap feeling I had hoped for like everyone on here talks about. Here's a little 2nd gear pull, does this seem a little slow to anyone else? 2009 335i E92 6 speed - JB3 Map 7 + BMS DCI 93 octane 73 degrees out, moderate humidity 1/2 tank of gas, 165lb driver golf clubs in trunk I've had the JB3+DCI installed for 2 months now. I don't have the DP's installed like my sig suggests http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlL9w60vVbo

Well, umm...
Your problem is map 7 and no other mods sir. Try Map 5. And try shifting at 6300 RPM. (and shut traction off all the way) Last edited by Jeff@TopGearSolutions; 08-14-2010 at 12:56 PM.. |

I was told Map 7 is okay with intakes? I had been running map 5, map 7 definitely feels faster.

I would personally get rid of it and try the procede. With all the weather changes and various conditions, the procede will autotune everything for you. Or you can continue to scratch your head and wonder which map you should run or if the car is running ok.

The map quide, is just that, a general guide. Sort of like flash tunes, theres a general stage 1 stage 2 ect ect file that each car gets, some cars run concervative and some run aggressive on the same file. That is why anyone who is really concerned about getting power out of their car, starts logging and tuning themselves, or get it tuned by a professional. That however does not work to well with a jb3. |

i keep it on map3 and works flawless and has tons of power over stock.
i would have gone with GIAC if there was no way of BMW knowing my car was flashed. only thing i like with proceed is the "delete codes" feature, and i believe it has an AutoLaunch for A/T cars? |

Just went on a cruise on map 5, still feels the same as 7, but 7 had a bit more grunt
Then tried map 0, never doing that again Thinking of going back to map 7 after catless DP's are installed Thanks for the input all -
