Decided to whore out some pics I took this evening on my bike ride in NYC. We drove in from Central NJ and parked right by Battery Park. Took a ride along the path on the West Side Highway and a little in Central Park. Here are a few of the pics we snapped.

Pics were taken by a Canon 7D w/24-70mm f/2.8L. Some pics aren't really related to cycling, but more to practice shooting/cropping/editing. Enjoy!

Traffic was brutal entering the Holland Tunnel so I took some pics along the NJ Turnpike.







Still quite a bit further to go.



My buddy Dimitri who just purchased this Giant TCR1 from Ebay yesterday. Got a great deal for it...only $1K. He's upgrading from an aluminum bike to this all CF one.

I wasn't actually getting wet at all. It was pretty easy riding through the water jets.





Suddenly....BAM! I get smacked in the face by a water jet just as I exit the last row of jets.



It didn't matter however, since a few minutes later the rain came down pretty hard and continued for the entire ride. We were pretty soaked, but it was fun.

jesus for a second when i read your post i thought you meant like you RODE THE BIKE from central jersey to the city. i was like WHAT??!! hahaha but then i saw that you drove to battery park. nice shots man! i mostly grew up in central jersey south brunswick represent!
