E92 Seatbelt handover repair

I sure this is not a new gripe
Seatbelt handover arm does not retract or grab seat belt.
As car is off warranty, BMW dealers charge 300+ to repair.
Anyone know of (cheaper) alternatives/ places to get this replaced/repaired?
thanks

It depends what's wrong with it - is it a failure of the mechanism or is the outer-most part of the arm broken? Take a picture of it and post it up so I can see. A new arm is not expensive, and if it's just the outer-part that is broken then you can fix it yourself.

The end of my handover arm has snapped off due to an unfortunate passenger mishap. Where can I order a replacement arm?

The end of my drivers side arm has had a spring failure so the end lip thing doesn't spring out and thus doesn't catch the seatbelt on the way out. I tried to jam it in the sprung out position to no long term avail.

I assume i'm an arm replacement candidate too. The spring and internal clip was pathetic upon inspection.

The end bit that sticks out is replaceable seperately.

It's in 2 pieces, the end swivel chrome part and the long black plastic arm which has two parts to it (sold together), Not sure on price of the chrome swivel part new, but the plastic mechanism arm is £216 inc vat and you must buy both parts as it can't be split, i've asked, and typical the only bit i need is the smallest plastic part on the arm as a small pin has broken off.
